“He asked them, ‘Who do the crowds say that I am?’ They replied, ‘Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others… one of the prophets…’ ‘Who do you say I am?’ Peter answered, ‘The Christ of God.’”

Luke 9:18-20
For 85 years Haven Ministries has been intent on leading people to encounter Jesus and know Him as Lord. All aspects of the ministry have united to present Christ as the fulfillment of Old Testament promises and as the one and only true King. There seems to never be a shortage of the devil’s schemes to undermine this, however.
I recall an afternoon back in 1980 when we received an atypical visitor at the Haven office. My wife and I were serving on the Prayer and Concern Ministry team at the time, so I was summoned to meet the young man. I extended my hand to greet him and introduced myself. He responded, “I’m Jesus Christ, the Son of God.” I assured him that he was not the real Jesus. I explained why that was so, but at the time he would have none of it. I thought of the “false messiahs and false prophets” the Gospel books warn of, and my prayer as he left was that he would have an encounter with the one and only Jesus.
Haven Ministries will always seek to be true to the Word of God, pointing you to Jesus, who truly is, “the Christ of God.”
