"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"

Luke 19:38
Happy Easter! Now don’t go check your calendar. Today is not Easter. In fact, it is still a few weeks away. Most people would think we were nuts for wishing them Happy Easter a month before the actual holiday. Yet isn’t that what we do at Christmas? Since we wish each other a Merry Christmas for a month prior to Christmas, why not wish everyone a Happy Easter for a whole month also?

For Christians, Easter is the most significant holiday on the calendar. Without the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, the celebration of His birth loses its Gospel message. Easter is the exclamation point to “Merry Christmas!”
As Jesus made His way down the Mount of Olives into Jerusalem, the whole multitude of His disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice (Luke 19:37). When the Pharisees scolded Jesus for accepting this praise, He told them that if they keep quiet, the very stones would cry out! So let us raise our voices and praise God right now for the most marvelous holiday of all. Happy Easter, everyone!
