“In my anguish I cried to the LORD, and he answered by setting me free. The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

Psalm 118:5-6
Our human weaknesses—both physical and spiritual—seem to foster an acceptance of fear in our lives. At nearly every turn in life, we see something to fear. Physical weakness may limit our power and increase our dread of the “towering giants” we face daily. Spiritual weakness draws our gaze away from the very One who would take our fears away. What is a fearful Christian to do?
When you are worried and concerned about what man can do to you or think about you or say about you, then you are living in the fear of man. In Christ, however, there is no fear of man. Others’ opinions mean nothing in comparison to what God thinks of you. You do only His will because only His love for you matters.
There is nothing to fear with the Lord as your helper. He is with you even when potentially harmful things cause distress. Don’t allow your fears to keep you from doing the will of God. In His perfect love all fear is cast away. When you know the Lord is with you, what can man possibly do to take away your Savior’s love? Nothing!
