“What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Romans 8:31
We can never be reminded too often of who we are in Christ, and that He is for us! Since the world generally is against us—and it does seem to be more so all the time—we can take tremendous comfort knowing that the God of the universe is on our side.
The list of who is against us is real: secularists, false religions, and anything else Satan and his demons may use. But realizing that God is for us and with us affirms the message of His grace and unfailing love. Trace it through Scripture: “I will fear no evil, for you are with me” (Psalm 23:4); “By this I will know that God is for me” (Psalm 56:9); “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20).
Today we can stand alongside of early Christians who in their pagan environments impacted their world with the Gospel. “You are the light of the world…Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16). “On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;/ All other ground is sinking sand.” Live it out!
