1 Peter 3:15b
My mentor, colleague, and friend, Dr. Ed Wheat, had a divine appointment. He was introduced to Christ by an 80-year-old patient who was just leaving after her office visit. But God nudged her to go back and “witness to that nice, young doctor.” He was 38 years old. The patient shyly returned, walked in without saying a word, and placed a gospel tract on his desk. After she’d gone, he picked up the pamphlet, read it, knelt down, and prayed to God for salvation. He had found the miracle cure for sinners. More accurately, the Great Physician had found him!
Dr. Wheat ultimately led thousands of his patients to Christ as well as hundreds of fellow physicians. God used an obedient widow without even a spoken word to lead her doctor and many more into saving relationships with Him.
This event also began his lifelong ministry of writing bestselling books on how God heals and restores marriages. In His perfect timing God honors faithfulness. Are you available to share Christ at His bidding, whatever your age or circumstance? You may stand amazed at His work through you!Your witness doesn’t have to be loud. The One who heals will work through your quiet boldness.
